The trailer chassis has an open-frame, double-axle, dual mounted wheels, and leaf spring suspension. The trailer
is designed to transport a standard ISO sized containerized kitchen.

May be towed by a 5-ton, FMTV cargo truck or similar vehicle.

It can ford hard-bottom water crossings to any depth which can be negotiated by the towing vehicle.
The trailer is equipped with:

A 24 V dc electrical system capable of operating under standard and blackout modes.
2.
Dual axle, dual mounted wheels with multi-leaf spring suspension which absorbs road shock.
3.
An air brake system.
4.
An automatic emergency braking breakaway system in the event of trailer breakaway from the towing
vehicle.
5.
Four adjustable leveling jacks to support and level the trailer when uncoupled from the towing vehicle.
6.
A spare tire stowed under the rear trailer frame.
7.
A tool box for stowing Basic Issue Items (BII).
