ADMINISIRATLE STORAGE.

Placement of equipment in administrative storage should be for short periods of time when a shortage of
maintenance effort exists. Items should be in mission readiness within 24 hours or within the time factors as
determined by the directing authority. During the storage period appropriate maintenance records will be
kept.

Before placing equipment in administrative storage, current maintenance services and equipment serviceable
criteria (ESC) evaluations should be completed, shortcomings and deficiencies should be corrected and all
modification work orders (MWO's) should be applied. Prepare M2 burner units, Range Outfit and Accessory
Outfit for storage in accordance with TM 10-7360-204-13&PE

Storage site selection. Inside storage is preferred for items selected for administrative storage. If inside
storage is not available, trucks, vans, convex containers and other containers may be used.
4-16. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE OR SHIPEMENT. Preservation, packaging, and packing of military supplies
and equipment is covered in TM 38-230-2.
CAUTION
Do not use abrasive cleaners or wire brushes on KCLFF or KCLFF-E components or
accessories. You may damage the finish Use a commercial type nylon cleaning pad to
remove corrosion or caked-on grease.

Assemblies.
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and
property. Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 to 138F (38 to 590C).
